1.) "Environmental conflicts in the metropolis"

This study analyzes the dynamics of environmental conflicts and the path of the environmental movement, aiming to trace a typical conflict pattern in this area and identify the associative forms, mobilization structures and the ways that agents of the environmental conflict are organized. The empirical focus of the project is the political process around the environment license for the Rodoanel (Ring Road project).

2.) "Environmental Governance in the metropolitan space"

The project investigates the deliberative and management forums for environmental resources in the Public Audiences for Environmental License. The objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of this kind of “environmental governance” as well as to examine the legitimacy/representativeness of the participants in these Forums that deliberate on environmental issues with repercussions for the whole of the society.
