" Metropolitan governance and policies of employment
"
This project examines experiences of shared negotiation
and governance between cities and within metropolitan
cities that result in new institutional formats for the
regulation of interests and the definition of public policies,
especially concerning employment and income. Some of these
experiences are emerging in the metropolitan region of
São Paulo, as the Regional Chamber of Greater ABC
and the Intermunicipal Consortium. These new institutional
formats have not been explored fully to date, but they
are of great importance to the debate on governance at
the municipal level.
