| CEM Updates SUS (National Health System) data and Offers New Geographic Databases for the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo (RMSP) The CEM site has updated geocoded databases on SUS (National Health System) hospital admissions, called the Authorization of Hospital Admissions (AIH) for the Metropolitan Region of Sao Paulo. In addition to the year 2000 which is already available, 2001, 2002 and 2003 have been added. The databases include information about the patient (age, sex, etc.), the admission (AIH number, specialization, action requested and taken, diagnosis, date of admission and discharge, and amounts paid). The information was taken from the portal of the Brazilian Ministry of Health and geocoded by the postal code of the patient. Four more geographic databases for the RMSP were made available for download: districts, municipalities and sectors of postal codes and municipal subdistricts of Sao Paulo (Subprefeituras). These databases can be use to delimit areas on maps.
