| Directives for the Sao Paulo City Center The book “Caminhos para o Centro - Estratégias de desenvolvimento para a região central de São Paulo” (Paths to the Center- Strategies of Development for the Central Area of Sao Paulo), produced by the request of Emurb (Municipal Urbanization Company) in agreement with Cebrap and CEM was launched in December last year. The object of the book is to carry out a diagnosis of the downtown area of Sao Paulo and of its main economic activities to guide development initiatives in the area. In order to do this, thirteen articles were gathered which analyzed subjects ranging from general questions about the administration of central areas in large metropolises, to economic sectors such as the textile industry and the service sector. The book is being distributed by Emurb to public and private libraries and to researchers in the area and can be accessed through the link below.
