(Editora 34, R$ 38,00) (Crossed Paths: Business Strategies and Workers’ Trajectories) analyzes the destinies of the unemployed in the chemical and petrochemical sectors, showing that the results are similar as to what happens in other sectors of the national economy. To do this, it looked at value chains, industrial complexes and the survival strategies of businesses and of workers. The book is the result of research carried out over almost 10 years by Nadya Araújo Guimarães, professor of sociology at the University of Sao Paulo.
