| Transformations of the Metropolis
The book São Paulo Metrópole (Editora da Universidade de São Paulo – EDUSP, R$ 120,00) was launched yesterday. The book looks at the substantial transformations through which the São Paulo metropolis has passed in the last few decades. It analyzes various aspects of these transformations, such as the construction of the city and its development, offering an abundance of data, photos and maps to illustrate the process and suggesting new paths for the city. The work was born out of the joint work between Regina Meyer and Marta Grostein, both architects and professors at the School of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Sao Paulo (FAU/USP), together with the economist and professor Ciro Biderman, professor at the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV-SP).
