Seminar Discusses Spatial Segregation in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Paris CEM held a seminar on the 28th and 29th of June entitled, “Estrutura social e segregação espacial – São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro e Paris” (Social Structure and Spatial Segregation –São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Paris), with 16 presentations of researchers from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro , France as well as Chile.. The seminar dealt with the territorial dimension and aspects such as quality of life, labor market and policies and state actions in these cities, allowing a comparison of empirical data as well as different methodological approaches in the different cities.
