CEM Offers 4th Course in Geoprocessing for Public Administrators
From 4 to 9 July, CEM offers its 4th course entitled “Introduction to Geoprocessing in the Analysis of Public Policies” for Public Administrators, fellowship recipients and researchers. CEM has offered 20 hours of training in the geoprocessing laboratory of the Catholic Pontifical University of Sao Paulo (PUC).
The course is a basic introduction to geoprocessing with spatial analysis tools, with emphasis on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applied to databases in the public domain.
GIS deals with the processing and spatial representation of information with geographic expression, assisting, in the private and public sectors, the decision-making process related to the territory. It is considered an important tool which allows geocoding, visualization and analysis of natural and socioeconomic phenomena.
