The book, São Paulo: Segregação, pobreza e desigualdades sociais (Sao Paulo: Segregation, Poverty and Social Inequalities), edited by Eduardo Marques, director of CEM and Haroldo Gama Torres, coordinator of the Technology Transfer area, was launched on the 8th of September at Livraria Cultura—Art Store of the Conjunto Nacional.
The book has as its main argument, the importance of the territorial dynamic in the understanding of poverty in Sao Paulo and the relevance of this for the development of adequate public policies. The theme dealt with by the book will be the focus of the next edition of the magazine diverCIDADE which will be launched at the beginning of October.
