TV Cultura News focus on CEM’s researches
The first episode in the series Dossiê Periferia was aired on Jornal da Cultura last Friday, 5 August. The series is a partnership between the Center for Metropolitan Studies and the State System of Data and Analysis Foundation (Seade) and TV Cultura.
The broadcaster will present a series of reports about the problems of the metropolis based on research developed by the two institutions. This episode deals with the topic of income for the needy population and the organization of space as a factor in social segregation.
The information presented in the episode is found in the book São Paulo: Segregação, pobreza e desigualdades sociais (São Paulo: Segregation, Poverty and Social Inequality) edited by sociologists, Eduardo Marques and Haroldo Torres, which will be released at the beginning of September and published by Senac/SP.
Dossiê Periferia will be aired on TV Cultura News during the second half of 2005 from Monday to Saturday at 9:00pm.
