| Voting Map of Sao Paulo — Municipal Elections 2004
In the 2004 election, the voters of the city of Sao Paulo, distributed in 1,537 voting locations spread across the entire city, showed their preferences for the 55 seats of the city council and chose a new mayor for the city.
88 maps in total were produced — looking at:
(1) elected city-council members
(2) party list votes; the vote total of the 12 parties with representation in the municipal council
(3) mayoral candidates with more than 2% of valid votes
(4) blank and void ballots, due to disputes from the Executive and the Legislative — as each corresponds to one of the 1,537 voting locations in the city.
We sought to attribute different colors to the parties with the greatest number of votes, using the same scales for the candidates for mayor and for the elected municipal council members for these parties.
